Philip M. Hamer and Elizabeth Hamer Kegan Award

The Philip M. Hamer and Elizabeth Hamer Kegan Award Subcommittee of the Society of American Archivists seeks nominations for the 2008 award.

This award recognizes an archivist, editor, group of individuals, or institution that has increased public awareness of a specific body of documents through compilation, transcription, exhibition, or public presentation of archives or manuscript materials for educational, instructional, or other public purpose. Archives may include photographs, films, and visual archives. Publication may be in hard copy, microfilm, laser disk, or other circulating medium.

Eligibility:
Individual archivists and editors, groups of individuals, organizations.

Application Deadline:
All nominations shall be submitted to the Awards Committee by February 28, 2008.

The State We’re In: Creative and Critical Approaches to Minnesota History at 150

St. John’s University and College of St. Benedict
Collegeville, Minnesota

  • Writing retreat (May 30 – June 2) to revise for submission for publication of conference proceedings
Proposals are invited for presentation of scholarship, demonstrations,
workshops, round-tables, works-in-progress on all aspects of Minnesota history. Individual or group proposals welcome. Proposal should be submitted (in Word) and should include title, brief abstracts, format, one-page vita for each participant. Deadline: January 15, 2008 to aatkins[at]csbsju.edu.
