Spring Meeting Announcement
Please join us Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 1:30-4:00 pm at Hamline University's Bush Memorial Library for the Twin Cities Archives Round Table spring meeting.
Presentation: Building a Business Case for Archives
Whether you’re an archivist for a corporation, an educational facility, or some other flavor of institution, you’ve probably needed to justify an initiative, project, or even the existence of your archives. At TCART’s next meeting, Rob Routhieaux, Associate Professor of Management in Hamline University's Graduate School of Management, will speak on how to build an effective business case. Rob has also taught at Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, and Warren Wilson College and Western Carolina University, both in North Carolina. His professional work focuses on organizational development and strategic planning for nonprofit organizations.
Agenda
The business meeting will include the spring elections for two officers. A slate of candidates will be sent out to all current members by the Nomination Committee. Voting will occur at the meeting. Additional agenda items will include updates & announcements, information on upcoming events, and more. A complete agenda will be sent out prior to the meeting. A tour of Hamline’s archives will follow the meeting.
